The information that Experts and clients provide to us or make available on the Askvisory Website may generally be categorised as either anonymous or personally identifiable. Our Experts are generally individuals, rather than companies. Our Clients are generally companies or partnerships, rather than individuals. In either case, while we seek to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality and security in respect of information about companies and partnerships ("Business Information"), such information may not be personal data and the use of such data may not be governed by applicable data protection legislation. Our Expert Terms and Conditions and Client Agreement for the Supply of Consultancy Services apply to the provision and use of Business Information as applicable.
Other Information Provided by You
As noted above, we require you to submit certain information when you register with us or use our services. Experts and Clients also have the opportunity to supply additional information if they wish. We collect the details provided by Experts and Clients on registration or during the sales process together with any additional information provided by them over the Askvisory website or in correspondence with us, as well as personally identifiable information we learn about you through your use of Askvisory and the services provided over it. For example, we may collect additional personally identifiable information through information you submit specifically for the purpose of being considered by a Client for acting as an expert in specific projects. We also collect additional personally identifiable information from Experts and Clients about their participation in the Askvisory network, our interactions with them, and their interactions with each other. We use the personally identifiable information that we collect to operate the Askvisory Website, provide our services and communicate with you. We also use and analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our services.
If you are a Expert, we use and analyse the information we collect about you in order to identify projects that would be within your domain of expertise or likely to interest you. If you are a Client, we use and analyse the information we collect about you in order to identify the most suitable Experts for your project. It is important to know that the more accurate and detailed the information you provide us is, the better able we are to propose the most suitable Experts for our Clients and the most suitable Client projects for our Experts.
We may disclose information about Experts to Clients that may wish to use the Expert's services. We may share Expert information with our Clients, typically in connection with actual or potential projects and consulting opportunities. In particular, we may contact Experts about specific projects. Our Clients are generally not permitted to disclose personal information about Experts to third parties, except with permission from the respective Expert or as required by applicable law, regulation or pursuant to a court or similar order.
When a Client makes a request for Expert assistance, we search our Expert network and identify one or more suitable Experts to be proposed to the Client as possible candidates. Initially, only anonymous information is disclosed to the Client to enable the Client to select one or more Experts that are potentially suitable for the Client's project. The Client may request more specific information including personally identifiable information for one or more proposed Experts. Before disclosing any personally identifiable information, we request the Experts concerned to authorise the disclosure of their personally identifiable information to the Client. This authorisation is typically sought by email, letter or fax or may be given by a Expert when they agree to participate in a consultation. We do not disclose any personally identifiable information to Clients without such authorisaton.
We do not sell or share personally identifiable information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We and our service providers process personally identifiable information only for the purposes for which it was collected.
If you begin but do not complete the registration process, we may contact you based on information you provide us to determine if you wish to complete your registration.
We may contact you using personally identifiable information you voluntarily provide. In particular, we may contact Experts about specific projects or consulting opportunities.
Finally, by registering as a Expert or Client, you agree that we may contact you by email to the address most recently notified by you to us. In addition, unless you have asked us not to, we may contact you by post, electronic messaging service or telephone.
